87Chief
OK went to the junkyard.. found a 93 xj's front prop valve (DB) I noticed on the mj the front one has a hose in it.. I believe it goes to the prop valve in the rear.. Is this 'new' DB going to work?
HOrnbrod
If you are keeping your rear load sensing valve, pull the front plug and proportioning valve from the new XJ block, and replace the plug with the old MJ block plug. Then hook up the MJ load sensing valve brake line to the front port as before. You need to get rid of the prop valve inside the XJ block. BTW, was the MJ DB stripped? 87Chief
I haven't taken it off completely yet but I do believe the mj DB was stripped. Didn't go down as far as the xjs line did
jimoshel
Dirty or scratched threads on the block?
87Chief
I sprayed the connector ends with some pb blaster to hopefully loosen up the threads so it will be easier to take them off. Don't want to strip them. The block is stripped
