Debating Selling My Mj Project, What To Ask?

Hey guys,

The MJ has sat in my garage for the last several month getting absolutely no attention. It's a 1987 model that was Renix, pukegoat, and 2wd. Plans were to convert it to 4x4 and H.O. I have all the parts, except the gas tank, brakes, steering box, bumpers, windsheild, front fenders, grille, etc. I also have the title in hand. What would be a fair asking price for this if I decided to sell it? It's rust free save for a little surface rust on the bed rails, and has a couple of dings in the bed. Also, has a complete factory black interior, and bucket seats.

The engine is fairly new out of my old XJ with about 5000 miles on it, with new brown dog motor mounts, and new header.

I have also added 4" front coils, heavy duty crossover steering. Not installed are the 6" lift shocks, 2" coil spacers, drop pitman arm, 8.8 swap kit.

What would be a fair asking price for this if I decided to sell it?

What is the current progress of the project? All the engine bay swapped over or as currently shown? If there still a lot of assembly required then I would say under $1,000. Not including the extra upgrade parts of course.

There was one in similar condition that sat on craigslist for about a year, the guy was asking $400 for it.

At this point as a truck its worth whatever local scrap price is, you would be better off parting it out or finishing it.

As shown, however, the harness is ready to go in, and everything is pretty much plug and play at this point. The smart thing to do would probably get it running first then try it.

Yeah, a running project is a much easier sell since that falls into the bolt on finish it up territory for a weekend warrior.

So, are you seriously looking at selling it? Because if you are I would be interested in maybe coming down the second week I'm march, on my spring break and buying it from you. I'm 100% serious, I've been looking for a good Comanche to start with. My plan was to move everything from my Cherokee over.

But I wouldn't want the engine, trans, the coils or spacers or any of that, I pretty much just want the body.. Do you have an 8.8 or just the kit?

Edit: DANG! You've got the factory black dash! You should so sell that!
