Recommended Posts

Want more pictures!!!!

I too am running Pintler wheels (though they are in Argent...the darker gunmetal color they offer..yours look to be thier silver).

What size tires are you running and how much lift? I have never seen an "overland" topper" can you give more details and ...pics.

Love the truck love the color. Do you have a build thread on it here?...don't know how I would have missed it.

I purchased the truck as you see it from the origional owner. He is the co-owner of Adventure Trailers in Prescott, AZ. My wife and I traveled to "Overland Expo" in May investigating roof-top tents and onboard freezer/refridgerators. Found that and alot more. Pintlers aren't silver, 33s, about 5 1/2" lift. We camped in it every weekend from 4th of July until Labor Day. We attended All Breeds in York, PA, Bantam in Butler, PA and Jeep Week at Ocean City, MD. My wife drove the 2,300 miles from Prescott to our home solo in three days. I'll post more pics.

They were small blurbs. I'll try to compiled the info tommorrow. This rig fits our lifestyle perfectly. It has been on the net for awhile, not really sure why it never made it to Comanche Club. :dunno: The original owner and his wife put over 370,000 miles on his truck with over 30,000 offroad. Can you imagine? His company installed many of their prototype products on the Comanche as well as using it for marketing. Their website has an informational video on deploying the flip-pac. The owner narrates. The badging on the fender represents the Golen built power plant. The suspension was engineered on the Jeepspeed platform. The overland equipment is all Adventure Trailers. If a trailer would be considered part of a build, that is my ultimate goal. The company had build a matching trailer but sold it to a persistent overseas client.

Read through the magazine article...thanks for the link. Do you have anymore detail or photos of the frame "beefing" that was done to the "frame rails" or the long arm set up you are running.

The camper shell etc is very impressive. It's a real drag you could not score the custom trailer too....sorry to sound like a busted record, but ...any pics of that trailer?

Not exciting stuff, but these are a few projects we've done to the 92 Eliminator. The windshield had a couple cracks that were starting to run, so the late model glass/trim were substituted.

Replaced door stops.

New cylinder assists.

Suffered a highway universal joint failure and replaced u-joints and shaft with a Wood's unit.

The previous owner used a step stool for entrance and egress. We added a removable step form convenience.

My wife added a few goodies.

The National Luna freezer/frig slides out for easier access. The front 1/3 is the freezer and the rearward 2/3 is the refrigerator. It will keep a steak frozen rock solid

]

The storage box behind the freezer/frig is also the wife's domain. It a customizable Pelican unit.

And buttoned up.

I'm suffering from "Spring Fever". Can't wait to get camping.
