Lift Question

Recommended Posts

I'm really not a fan of rearching springs as I find it as just a temporary fix and simply a waste of money. Having said that, I couldn't say just how long you would get out of a rearch job being the back end is so light on the MJ. Might be a viable short term solution.

Ok bear with me. I came from having xj's and on my first mj. But if you get a pair of s-10 springs cut the military wraps off and use the s-10 main leaf as your second leaf on your spring pack that should give you the arch you want. If it is to much lift then use the second sping leaf of the s-10 leaf pack instead. The s-10 springs have more arch.

No it does not matter which s-10 just look at them and get the ones with the best arch. Also on a side note I know some guys that used Dakota leaf spring too. I do have a set of S-10 zr2 leafs in the back yard. But it would be cheaper for you to pull your own.

Lots of ideas/info using SEARCH - - - - New springs from general - - - Air lift - Airlift kit 5903 - - - Monroe air shocks MA820 - - - All 3 have been covered here inna past few years - - - - Summit carries the Airlift & Monroe shocks & will match & beat the lowest online prices - - - I used the Monroe shocks - MJ OE specs for extend - compress & trav - easy bolt on - considered Air lift - good CC install write up IIRC - - - Was gonna get the new generals but tight wad mentality clicked in - $500 vs $65 - - may still get springs when things begin to warm - - Until then am completely satisfied with the Monroes for my 89 DD/GG.
