Do you guys think getting a high temp coating (I.e jet hot coatings) on the factory renix 4.0 exhaust manifolds will help them last longer?

As in prevent them from rusting through?

I have never seen an exhaust manifold fail on any vehicle, but I've heard of them cracking. I don't think any sort of paint or coating will prevent that.

Agree with all the above. Hi-temp coatings are good for exhaust headers, but not needed for stock cast manifolds.

Mounts? I prefer the stock AMC/Mopar mounts. Cost 4x more, but last 4+ times longer than the offshore junk.

There is no coating that will last on any header or manifold. Forget about it.

Has lasted 4+ years on my stainless Mike Leach header - no bluing.

Yeah bluing is what I was referring to. Eventually they all turn rainbow colors. Yours may be an exception but I've never laid eyes on any exhaust coating that has stood the test of time. I'm assuming yours is true stainless, not just coated stainless.

Yeah, Mike Leach designed and provided headers for Mopar Performance. I was lucky to get one of the last ones from Kolak. It's long extinct now......
