Its funny how sometimes deals fall into your lap. I came apon this fine machine earlier in the week. After alittle consideration I knew this XJ was coming home with me. Its a 1991 Cherokee Laredo. The end plan sometime down the road is for this Jeep to become the DD for the fiance' when her 99 Ranger has had enough.

4.0/AW4/242/D30/D35 but the biggest gift is ONLY 123k miles! Yes! and with the following pictures you can see why I had to jump on this so quickly!

O yeah, all settled on a purchase price of only $1500 :D This now makes the family Jeep total an even 10.

Reminds me off my buddy's old XJ. Had about double the miles and got me started on the Jeep binge. Royal blue with tan interior. A real junker, but a real workhorse if I ever saw one.

Haha theyll likey be gone, even she doesnt like them. Theyre in pretty nice shape though!

I don't think they look terrible. My first jeep ever, 89 XJ pioneer had em. They rusted off.

Nice jeep!

Thanks guys!

I believe that thing under the hood is a spare key holder, what good it does there is beyond me, cause if your locked out of the Jeep popping the hood would take some work, lol

It looks like wires coming out of it, si?

From the pictures it does, I'm pretty sure it says something about a key lockbox on it though. Ill find out tomorrow....ill have this baby in the garage this week and slowly begin a few small projects for it.

Well i came to the conclusion that it was part of or is some sore of security system....the wires run to 2 seperate sensor block thingys and 1 went directly to the battery. :dunno: I pulled the fuse and disabled it for now with no effects on drivability.

I did howecver find a nice suprise with the Harmonic balancer this evening

Um yeah, that will need addressed for sure, lol.....i got it in the garage this evening and along with "Walker" itll be getting some attention over the winter months

Its been a few months since I brought this thing home and this Cherokee has come together nicely over time. Lots of matinence and some apperence mods. Still have some rust to tackle and some finishing up to do, but its plenty road worthy for when the situation arises B)
