Anyone else noticed that your browers built in speelchecker no longer works with the new text input box?

EDIT: Just upgraded FF to ver 17.0, added the SpellcheckEverything addon from here:

and spellcheck is now working. :clapping:

I've never installed any spell checking add-on, and my spell checker has always worked on every site...

its always worked for me too, but there is something about the new text input box(java?) that kills the speelchecker

Doesn't kill it on mine. :dunno:

 

The only add-ons I have installed are Adblock Plus and Video Download Helper.... maybe you guys have one that can interfere with the built-in checked?

Using Chrome and spell check works fine over here. One thing that I don't like is that it won't let you capitalize acronyms...always goes lowercase after the first character.

Fortunately, the spell checker on FF doesn't auto-correct anything, it just puts a red underline under the misspelled stuff and gives you suggestions if you right click on it. Autocorrect ANYTHING pisses me the hell off, which is a major reason I can't stand MS Word.

:yeah that: thats why I disable anything that autocorrects anything on any device I use!
