Dookie Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I have a 91 lwb and would like a bed mat. I see swb mats occasionally in the classefieds but thats it. Are the mats hard to find in the first place?
Keyav8r Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Back when I had a Ranger pick- up I bought a full size truck bed mat at Big Lots and cut it to fit. Got it on a clearance deal for $20 or so. It was still in the truck when my son-in-law traded it in 250K miles later. Just make a cardboard pattern, lay the mat on some plywood or more cardboard and cut it with a utility knife.

Automan2164 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Keep an eye out at the junkyard. I've picked up both my factory AMC/Jeep longbed mats from the yards. Both places were dirt cheap for them too. I think they charged them out as carpet and I think I walked away with them for $10 or so bucks each. Most people walk by them, or use them under another car nearby to lay on. I'll keep an eye out for ya around here. OP, where you at? Rob
Eagle Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 When I was shopping for a bed mat for my shortbed, all Pep Boys had was one for a longbed mini-pickup. So I bought it and used it with the back folded up to help protect the tailgate.

Only seen short beds even though there are a few mjs around here in the yards. I've got a longbed bedliner with no tailgate cover I'd like to get rid of. Would you be interested in trying to roll it up and ship it?
