My soa lifted me too much with stock 4x4 leafs, if I swap Xj shackles on will it lower the rear a bit?

About 1/2" is all.

So 2wd leaf springs would probably be my best bet?

2wd MJ leafs will sit you a bit lower. as will other leafs out of XJs and whatnot. it's a bit of a hassle mixing and matching, but you should be able to lower it a bit with leafs that have less arch.

 

In fact, the first I'd try is a full XJ pack. Cut the eyes off and put the whole thing under your current MJ main. :thumbsup:

If you don't plan on hauling a lot of weight you can remove the overload spring also.

I wouldn't do that. you'll need the overload to help fight springwrap.
