Blue88Comanche Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Went out to the pick and pull with Mom and Dad to look for a brake booster for dads MJ, we ended up finding 2 comanches!!! 1986 LWB 2wd V-6 and a 87 SWB 2wd I-4 here is our loot, Tailgate in good condition, Tail lights in good condition, 2 pairs of side vents, load sensing valve, MJ rear bumper, MJ tire hoist, and a 01 XJ brake booster
Automan2164 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 That '87 VIN is an early one... Did you get the VIN off the '86? That would be the one we would all be more interested in. Also, with that '86 being an X, with the towing mirrors, including that it's already missing, I would say that it had a M20. Rob
Blue88Comanche Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 I did get a couple of quick pictures of the vin but they turned out blurry. I may go back out again tomorrow. If I do then i can get better pictures of the vin. what all should i get from them if i do get to head back out tomorrow?
Automan2164 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 VIN at the least, and Drivers door date, if legible. Rob
Blue88Comanche Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 i forgot to add that the red SWB MJ had a Comanche bed liner. we where going to get it, but it was in bad condition.
Blue88Comanche Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 VIN at the least, and Drivers door date, if legible. Rob i checked the door, the sticker was faded out completly.. where might the build sheet be hidden if it is still there?
Alexia Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Thank you keeping good parts from going to the crusher!

Rob i checked the door, the sticker was faded out completly.. where might the build sheet be hidden if it is still there? Behind the passenger door panel or in the seat. VIN will have a sequential serial number that will at least let us ballpark it. Rob

mvusse Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 If nothing else, the passenger door vapor barrier will at least have the build date on it. Can't remember if the driver side does as well.
mountainman Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Lots of good parts to be picked there. What axles were under them? Wish i lived closer, id love to have that short bed/back half for a manch trailer. :)

dasbulliwagen Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Other Comanche only parts would include the rear fender flares, and the interior peices behind the seat and up the B-pillars if there are any that are any good.
