Yeah the best build on NAGCA.com by far.....dare I say even the WillysTech yahoo forum, although I'd suspect some of my fellow Willys purist would frown upon the idea only until they saw the level of detail Marcus is putting into it. Its fantastic! Although its not a purist type build and the old timers would frown on the sacrifice of two Willys trucks (even if they were lost down in DownUnder), its something Jeep should be building themselves. He's building the concept truck truck that Jeep is too scared to touch. This will be a marketable vehicle (in concept) for Jeep, instead they just fool around with the stupid Nukizer and FC concepts that will never see the light of day. I've been following this one from the start. Marcus is building the Jeep that Jeep should be building. :wrench:

Edit: I do wish he was installing an SRT 6.4 instead of the 5.7, ah but who cares, its gonna be awesome anyway.

Thanks for the comments guys. Don just let me know of the posting here.

Sorry Jay for not using the SRT version, but the 6.4 didn't even exist when I got my WK donor! Did try and get a SRT 6.1 version but didn't think it was worth the extra $10,000 that those wreaks were going for here! Besides, this will be a lot lighter than the Grand it came out of once finished so the power to weight will be up there with the 6.1 I think. If it is not enough, rather supercharge it. :)

Maybe Don can tell me of the sponsorship I supposed to have to pay for it. ;)

Yep Jay, his level of detail is (I hate this word, but it fits in this case) awesome. Wish I knew of him when I was crawling around Oz back in the 80s. I agree this should be a pickup that Chrysler should be building. Who wouldn't buy a resto Willys-look Jeep pickup with a big V8 and all the modern conveniences? Damn sure I would, over the Mopar factory resto Chargers, Darts, Challengers, etc. cars. And those things are selling pretty well. Pickup trucks are the best selling platform last time I looked - how about a resto Willys/Jeep pickup? I know they would sell better than a Prowler or some of the other fiascoes Chrysler has attempted.

Chrysler would be wise to hire us as the "back room brain trust" to flick their ears anytime they come up with stupid designs, or great designs that just won't work as I mentioned....

The modern Willys truck is however a "no-brainer",

,,,,(did anyone get the pun in that?)

Clearly Jay. I can still function well in back rooms. Very back rooms. :D But we digress because unfortunately it'll never happen. Pity. Marcus-san, thanks for posting here and if there is any way we can help smooth the way for parts or anything other, a lot of us are willing and able.

Thanks mate. I will keep it in mind. Some times I find things on eBay and they won't send directly to me, so just having some one send to first would be a help.

Awhile back I contacted Chrysler-Jeep and offered to volunteer my services and expertise to help them build a better product. My suggestion was to let me stand at the end of the assembly line and pick out any Jeep I wanted as it came off the line. I would then take that particular vehicle home with me and drive it for one year. At the end of the year I would write up a full report of what I thought of the vehicle and suggest ways to improve it. Apparently the USPS lost the letter as I never heard back from Chrysler. :shake:
