i was wanting to put at the most a 3" lift on my next DD manche, but would that at all affect the drive quality or make it unreliable? i want it to look nice with a little lift but i don't want it to have death wobble or act any different than stock... would the sway bars be affected any?

i don't know much about this because on my black manche i tore all the sway bars off and did whatever.... so it wasnt a great DD

you can do shackles or a AAL at that height.

Skyjacker makes a 3" long AAL.

rusty's makes 4" packs that would ride better, and you could probably drop it around an inch with an XJ shackle.

well i may try longer shackles but i would NEVER lower a jeep haha

XJ shackles would lower by 1/2" and you'd lose some suspension travel because the shackle won't allow full movement.

well the real question is will a 3" lift do any damage to the ride quality or make it unreliable? i know how to lift it but i just don't wanna have problems later from it

With new control arms to adjust the caster the lift will destroy, and an alignment to save your tires from the toe in, everything'll be fine.

Man i drive my wifes truck to work and home every day it rides like a truck. As far as the truck goes I would jump in this truck and drive it from one side of the USA to the other side. Man it a Jeep it rides like a lifted jeep. The truck was lifted when I bought and I have had it for 2 year and put I don't no how many mile on it.

your axle might be slightly off-center;

track-bar needs changing at 4" though, supposedly 3" is safe.

but if you do get wobbles just snatch some cheap adj. CAs and be done with it.

If you get some factory LCA shims you could probably get away without new LCAs.

I don't know the lengths at hand, but, you probably have 2 (per side) shims stock and IIRC they're .188 and you can realistically go to 5... For a hair over 1/2" adjustment...

But I'm sure there's people that will point out that's the 'wrong' way to fix it.

If your pocket can take the hit, look into some drop brackets for your control arms. Keeping the control arms as close to level with the road as possible will really help the ride.
