deziped
built these on the assembly line. http://eugene.craigslist.org/cto/3075059849.html
Rymanrph
That's a pretty sharp looking conversion. The part that bothers me is the forward slope of the rear door next to the cab vent, but I guess that's kinda unavoidable. I'd like to see the interior plastics at the back of the cab. Comanche County
Its not bad but it reminds me of the Explorer Sport Trac trucks....they are kinda like a Pontiac Aztec, they rank high on the fugly scale. The Jeep is better though.
jimoshel
built these on the assembly line. http://eugene.craigslist.org/cto/3075059849.html I'm wondering if they had swapped sides and inverted the cab vents if it would look better. The leading edge would be parallel with the door line and the top and bottom would be horizontal. Any photochop geniuses out there? :dunno:

Any photochop geniuses out there? :dunno: Thats not a bad idea. inverting the vents would at least not draw your eyes to the very different lines there. I don't think there are really many options for that part of it without chopping the body up to a million pieces. But when your doing this project, isnt that what your doing anyways? :hmm:
landlubber
bit sloppy, but you get the idea. I think the best way to make it look good would be to make the rear door line as vertical as possible, eat up some of the gap.
jimoshel
Either that or make the vent rectangular instead of trapezoid,Have an equal space between both sides of the vent and door frame and cab back.
Rymanrph
Since the rear bottom of the portion of the door has to be filled in anyway and its all custom any way, why not just make the rear edge of the back door the same as the front door? A lot of work went into this vehicle. I'd like to have the skills to attempt it.

I think the way to go here would be to cut the back half off a front door and build it into the back half of a back door. Only way i can think of to keep the body lines. [A lot of work went into this vehicle. I'd like to have the skills to attempt it. Get yourself a junk vehicle and start cutting. There are hundreds of books on body work and custom car building. You get those skills by practice. Not wishing. Without taking a poll, I would be willing to bet that's how over half of the club members here got their start. AMCJeepMJ
I like the shorty bed, but wonder where the fuel filler door is?
