lifted_xj
My buddy is gonna be scrapping 2 Grand Cherokee 4.0s and was wondering if there is anything that I should rip off of them for my Comanche build. I already have an upgraded brake booster. Thanks guys

Harley
Where ya located at? How much would he want for the booster and master?
lifted_xj
I'm located in NY I don't know what he wants for them. I plan on swapping to a 8.8 so no need for the rear discs either.
MJRemi
The steering box should have a better ratio and the front sway bar & links might be a little beefier.
jpnjim
Ft coils are a little beefier Since they are 6cyl they are pretty much the same as heavy optioned XJ/MJ coils, Little oil filter adapter is good to change metric filter Renix engines over to std thread. Some people like the overhead consoles. Ft shafts are good for spares (as long as they are not cv's) 6 cyl ZJ' s usually have 242 t cases Some have swapped the seats into XJ/MJ's including the split rear into XJ's If they have rear skid plates, they're worth taking XJ guys have been known to work them to fit their tanks. If the engines aren't worth saving, you could atleast grab the 4.0l head/intake/exhaust manifold for a future HO upgrade. Injectors would also be an upgrade over the 2 piece, leak prone Renix Injectors. Plus grab the master cylinder, rear brakes, steering box & sway bar like the other guys said
terrawombat
The rear tail light wiring harness grommets are the perfect size to fix the XJ/MJ antenna grommet that falls out and causes water to get into the cab.
jpnjim
Actually since yours is a 1988 even the steering knuckles would be an upgrade, (early XJ/MJ's used weak knuckles w/ bolt on caliber brackets) You would also need the newer calipers to match those newer knuckles. You could think about changing over to the newer style wheel bearings & rotors at the same time, they are more commonly available parts these days, though truthfully the early stuff was better.
