Canine seating

So the dog hates riding in the MJ, he just can't get comfortable, he's around 50 lbs (you would think there's plenty of room, the truck has a benchseat). Looking for ideas to put a platform between the seat and dash, level with the seat and still have access to the floor under it. Curious if anyone has done it.

I just cut a piece of plywood, put a block on the back and legs on the front to level it -- dog traveled 1K miles that way while we moved ---- packed stuff under the platform (her food, water jug, bowls ect... )

I fill the foot well with stuff and make a bed for highway travel, but for offroading she wears a harness that attaches to the seatbelt and keeps her butt planted firmly in the seat.

My pup usually sprawls out on the bench seat and rests his head in my lap. Or he does this...

Don't have any good solutions for you, just wanted to get a dog in an MJ plug in.

We have and use a harness for him in the WJ (cargo area) and MJ, but he can't get comfortable in the MJ and tries to get down on the floor or onto the dash, wish he would just lay across the seat. Thanks for the input.

Our 50 lb. Pitbull just sits looking out the window or layes on the seat curled up. The 100 lb. Rott takes up the rest of the seat I am not useing. She loves to hang her head out the window or layes down with her head on my leg.

I put my Lab/Pit cross in the canopy with the slider window open so he can see/hear us in the front or he'd crawl under my feet when a Harley/Ghetto thumper drove by

This is Boots... He doesn't really fit in the cab... He's about 135lbs. We put him on a diet but it doesn't seem to be working.

 

And sometimes...
