tensioner upgrade

Recommended Posts

Well, I will, respectfully, offer a different view. I would switch to an automatic

belt tensioner in a heartbeat if I could find that this has been done before (I

have not yet found it having been done, even though have asked around here

and elsewhere). I have had many vehicles with this spring-loaded device, and

yes, they do fail sometimes, but I've never had one fail in less than 70k-80k

miles, and they're cheap and easy to replace. A worrier would do well to carry

a spare. Tensioning the belt by adjusting (beneath) the PSP is a royal pain in

the a$$ comparatively. two cents...
