Hump Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I spent some time on a search, but came up with nothing. I bought a MJ dana 44 rear that is already set up soa. I did not however get the u-bolt plates. Will I be able to use the plate that is currently under my d35?
ComancheKid45 Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Yep. However you may need to rethink your shock mounts if going SOA :wrench:
Blue88Comanche Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 :hijack: will a dana 44 from a F100 be the correct length?
Eagle Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Yep. However you may need to rethink your shock mounts if going SOA :wrench: Why? Flip them side to side and they'll work fine, with the original shocks.
ComancheKid45 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 O ok..... Well then you have nothing to worry about, Ive never delt with an MJ SOA conversion so I'm pretty clueless about the setup back there ;)
Hump Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 Thanks guys! I've been through a couple of MJ's, and am finally going to keep one and modify it. I am taking a '91 2wd swb doing a soa d44 swap adding a hp30 up front and 4x4 with a drivetrain swap. I was planning on using the drivetrain out of a '00 XJ, but I also been thinking about using the Dauntless Buick 350 out of my '70 J4000.
