big66440
Are there any model/year jeeps out there that have the shift pattern (automatic AW4) on the steering column itself rather than on the gauge cluster that will fit in my 89 renix 4.0? maddzz1
You can buy the piece and just mount it on the column. Don posted a link a while ago.
HOrnbrod
Some of the 86 MJs had the indicator on the column too. There's a NOS one on Ebay HERE but I don't want to pay $175 for it. I did mine like this:

HOrnbrod
you guys think the dealers may still b able to dig one up? what would be the name for the piece? The original column shift indicator is made up of five separate parts; bezel, indicator pointer, cover, light bracket, and mounting screws. All are long ago obsolete. ComancheKid45
Summit sells a couple various style of those indicators, ranging from $20ish up to like $100+ or so. Ive used 2 of them so far on auto MJs with good results :wrench: http://www.summitracing.com/search/Part ... Rank%7cAsc

deziped
Older GM steering columns should work, mid to late 80's, as my 89 appears tc match up with some of them. Had an 86 column with indicator on it for about a year that I couldn't even give away. Just threw it in with some other MJ parts I sold to a fellow to get rid of it this past April..
