Whats the best 4wd Magazine to get?

Ive had a long standing subscription to Cycle world for about 10 years now, but I think I'm going to let it run out and was wondering what the best 4wd magazine is to get a sub to. I had a sub to Petersens 4wheel and off road a long friggin time ago when I was a kid and liked it, and when I had my Grand Wagoneer I would regularly buy JP, because they often did articles on Full size Jeeps. So at this point I just want to know which ones you guys recommend.

Big Fan of JP. Trasborg actually has an MJ kicking around as a DD, and when they did their Jeep "$#!&box Derby" he was the only one who refused to shoot his Jeep.

I like JP because Trasborg is a buddy of mine and he has used pictures of my Jeeps in the magazine several times. There's even a shot of my butt in the door swap writeup. :)

i have a sub to Petersens and Four Wheeler. have had for years. don't really like Four Wheeler so i think i won't get it anymore. never really liked JP either. picked it up a few times in stores killing time but didnt hold my interest. as i recall it had quite a few tech articles along with pics. so maybe I'm just selling it short. for me Petersens is the way to go. i like the people, articles and Whoops! at the back of the mag :thumbsup:

I get Jp magazine and Petersons. I think that Jp is WAY better. I have E-mailed Trasborg lots of times with questions and/or second opinions and he is always very helpful. I always find there articles very interesting and helpful. I find myself waiting every month for the new issue to come and end up reading the whole thing on the first day, then I'm stuck waiting again. Jp is the way to go. :banana:

too many ad's in petersons for my taste, jp is ok but my fav that i just renewed my subscription is 4 wheel drive and sport utility

Outside Detroit. We all plan on going to Pete's as a group to help him button up his MJ's, then hit up the sights.

I have a subscription to Petersen's and don't like it too much. Too many photos, not enough text. Once my subscription runs out I'll try JP.

I like Petersens and JP best. Crawl is a very very nice mag but it has goofy tech and it is mostly buggy stuff but I like that too. Rick Pewe has wheeled with my club in the past and he is planning to come up hopefully this year or next to check out our new Grant in Aid ORV trail that the club built. So I'm kinda partial to his mag. I'm also addicted to the Ultimate Adventure Series. Love the humor in JP!!

 

Fourwheeler has been a downhill slide for about 5 year IMO...I used to get 4 wheel and sport utility, I liked it but the sub ran out and I honestly never got around to renewing it.

 

Also Diesel Power is a sweet mag if you are into diesels. I subscribe to DP and usually buy Diesel World which is very nice too!
