glundblad
I bought 4 jeep turbine wheels from some company up in Michigan. Each wheel was like new. Then when I got them all out on the living room floor, I realized the color of the alloy wasnt uniform on each wheel. This style also has gray paint on them too. The paint didnt match and the allow didnt match. There were three different shades of gray. Plus the casting wasnt exact either. I wanted to return them because they didnt match but they wouldnt take them back without me paying shipping plus a 20% restock charge. I said they didnt match and they claimed each wheel was fine and that they didnt match wasnt relevent. It was a long battle and I eventually gave up and called my credit card company. The bank pulled the money from their account and which caused them to send return shipping labels. Moral of the story, you will never know what you end up with if you buy them from someone. I sent mine to a local refinishing company through my body shop called Transwheel in Huntington, IN. They were in pretty bad shape but looked new when they were finished. Just rememeber, never let the tire company mount weights on the outsides

I had my Cherokee wheels redone by JR wheel company in Michigan somewhere because I used to work at Belle Tire. It cost me just over $300 for all 4. The main reason is because of the peeling and corrosion around the machined edge where the wheel weights go. So when they came back they looked great. 1 year later they looked the same so I sent them back again. They replaced them but 1 year later same thing. This time they wouldn't warraty them because they said they aren't refinishing wheels anymore, I wonder why?  The best part is I traded in my '01 XJ with them on it and kept the silverstars!! HaHA!!!

I'd really like to find someone locally to refinish them but so far the only company I've found here is the one that quoted me $175 each exchange. I'm going to try a few more body shops (I tried one already and they use that company) and see if they have any other recommendations or maybe can get a better price. My wheels are in good physical condition, just need refinishing as the clear coat is peeling off.
AMCJeepMJ
I see those 5-spoke Jeep wheels on the local CL frequently. Should check yours to see if there's any good deals. I picked up a set of these http://www.finishlinewheels.com/JEEP/CHEROKEE/1990/A-09030U10/ for only 50 in fair condition. I use them for winter wheels since the clearcoat is shot on them.
