Cargo Light Switch Question

Can I use the factory XJ rear defrost switch to activate the cargo box light?

 

I have the factory cargo box light fixture, but not the cargo box switch. I have the factory fog light switch, but it is being used. I know I can buy a universal switch, but I want the dash to look factory.

defrost switch might work, youd be better off using a fog light switch of the power/comfort switch from aw4 manches, ive got a bunch of em here but thats a bit of a drive for a switch lol...

I have a couple of Junk Yards nearby. If I have to I will grab another fog light switch from and old Cherokee. I'm hoping the rear defrost switch will work.

I defrost switch will not work, you need one that stays on, the defrost just switches on then toggles off. As mentioned the trans or fog switch will work.

i have the switch you need if you'd like it. i'll never grow a pair big enough to drill those holes ;)

 

(and no i don't have the light people, just the switch)
