Automan2164 Posted November 26, 2010 Author Share Posted November 26, 2010 Turned out to be a half off weekend. Wade, Will, and Kitch showed up for picking. We managed to find a poor MJ, that had already been picked over by someone who knew what they were after. The dome lights, tailgate innards, tail lights, and badges were gonzo already. No cargo light for Brent (sorry). I managed to pick up the painted flares for $5 each, the tailgate for $25, a back window slider clip, the the gas door for Brent (looked OK). Even though it seemed hopeless finding a clean 3.73 axle for the ZJ, we found one that was higher miles, but looked to have some recent work done. The pinion yoke was new, as well as looking pretty clean inside. The u-joints are shot, as is one unit bearing, but I can transfer those off the old axle if need be. Picked up the axle end to end for $67.50. Pics: Finished off the day at the Tilted Kilt, and even put in to win a free lunch... :D Thanks again for the help guys. 500 MJ Posted November 27, 2010 Share Posted November 27, 2010 I've seen worse MJ's than that still on the road. It doesn't look that bad. Did you get the drip rail guards? They look like they were black? Looks like a good time was had by all. I spent the whole day in Dad's wood shop making picture frames. It was a very relaxing day. Bringing the angle grinder and some cut off wheels, that bed is getting the guillotine. If any of you close fellas are free, give me a shout tomorrow. Don't plan on leaving until after 10 or so. Agreed, it was kinda' funny at first but got old quick... (they don't hire based on IQ evidently, lol) It was definitely a good time overall though!
