Thanks for the pic: You wouldn't mind if I sold a few thousand copies of that on Ebay & Craigslist? ;) Enjoy the game, and Go Texas
jpnjim Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 PS, thanks to Texas for smacking the Yanks around, that was
Comanche County Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 Thanks for the fix brother. Yeah we've got a common foe of course....the Yankees have put Texas out of the playoffs every time they make it into the post season until this year.... We're sitting in left field, the Giants are on the field for batting practice. The weather is great, perfect day to turn this series around.
Comanche County Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 Oh yeah sell all you want hahahaha, scalpers, eBay, ticketstub have the same $150 tickets for close to a grand.
jpnjim Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 1 out away! But I haven't seen any Comanche Club signs in the audience.
Exxon Valdez Jeep Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 woot woot! You didnt get those tickets from the guy off LSJC by chance did you? I called him and he wanted $1100  each for them. I'm jealous of you man, I really wanted to go but not that bad!!!
Comanche County Posted October 31, 2010 Author Posted October 31, 2010 My uncle got the tickets by waiting in line at the stadium for a couple hours. It was a good thing too, a guy sitting next to us got his on Ebay for 600 bones....that would have priced me out of the game. He and another uncle of mine have season tickets two sections over from the two seats he got for Dad and I. My uncle almost got Moreland's three run shot in the second, it landed two seats from him. I almost got a homer from batting practice. It land up the isle and was rolling down to me (I was sitting on the end),,,, but my gimpy one legged self couldn't move fast enough and someone else got it. It was a heck of a time, the stadium was rocking and the Rangers are back in it now!
HOrnbrod Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Only three more to go. :D Nolan has always been a hero of mine, and I'm pulling for the Rangers since the BoSox didn't even make the playoffs this year. :( But one game at a time................
HOrnbrod Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 :( Looks like a National League year. They finally won the 2010 All-Star game, now prolly the Series too. Crap............
Comanche County Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 Gotta give credit where it's due. Sanchez had some terrific grabs at second, and their pitching was awesome last night. Lots of great plays in the field from both teams, too bad we couldn't get the bat going. Now, the pressure is on.
86FUBAR Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 !!!! Hell ya !!!!  :jump: WE DID IT , that was Awsome !!
HOrnbrod Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Congrats San Fran. Complete un-hittable pitching domination throughout the whole playoffs, not just against the Rangers. That rookie catcher Posey was amazing too.
AMCJeepMJ Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Congrats to SF on the WS win. There's always 2011 for the Rangers to take the pennant. :wavey: Actually, if they just beat the Yankees in the playoffs every time I will be happy.
Comanche County Posted November 2, 2010 Author Posted November 2, 2010 Finally, the Bay area has something to be proud of besides that rusty bridge. Party hard my friend, y'all earned it.
AMCJeepMJ Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Finally, the Bay area has something to be proud of besides that rusty bridge. Party hard my friend, y'all earned it. There's lots of famous-ish things in SF area excluding the bridge that didn't collapse... alcatraz, notoriety of haight/ashbury, 1906 fire, earthquakes interrupting the 89(?)world series, silicon valley, napa valley, the concours at monterey in august, street cars, rice-a-roni (its the san francisco treat!), steep roads (think bullitt car chase), some of the most expensive real estate in the world, and folks who are a little light in the loafers just to name a few.
