Craigslist  the guy was a Jeeper too.

Longer links are in the box, along with a bunch of replacement parts. Even has headlight housings you can cut into the body.

And yes, full price is just crazy talk!

Edit: just measured the wheel base, about 12 1/4".

Got it today, took it out, and took some random shots alongside the two older MJ bodies I have, and a couple with the real deal for size comparison... Enjoy!

I am going to do some research, but I think I want to turn it into a rally-style truck... I like the wheelers, but the go-fast and jumps look better. I think that would be more fun, and I could race against the GF's older brother. And look cooler while doing it. 8)

:rock on:

Cool deal! Any chance you can snap a better picture of the sticker sheet? I am just curious.

Can't wait to see what you do to the body.

There is also a sheet of window precut masking... So you don't have to try to cut the windows yourself when you paint.

Maybe if we can get some scaled comancheclub.com stickers made, a Jeep tailgate sticker could be made. Hint, hint... Spencer?

I would totally rock a CC windshield banner

Same here. Pete had some really small decals, but he handed them all out when he was at my place.

:fs1: I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER EXPENSIVE HOBBY!

I refuse to look at these ever again or I will end up with one.

and the tailgate has the JEEP molded in. you just need a real steady hand when painting. :D

Exactly what I was gonna say :D

Think I may have found an alternative to the crawler chassis I have been looking for... The wheelbase and track width of the body is too small for any of the 1/10 racers. So I found a 1/12 HPI Mini trophy truck, that shares the same 12.3" wheelbase, and the track width is about right (Body fender to fender is about 8", the truck has a 8.3" stance). So here is the website for it, and a video of it tearing around the track.

Ready to run is about $229 from what I have found. With some searching, it could probably be had cheaper.

Hate to be a thread hog, but I got her buttoned back together this evening. Rob, where are your updates?!

There are still a few things I want to get done to the body, including modified rock sliders, a more scale front bumper deal, and a whip antenna to act as the transmission antenna. The back window is BEGGING for a Comancheclub sticker :rotf: The nice thing about the floor pan is that it provides reinforcement to the body bumpers, so they should not crack when hitting a rock. As time and money allows, I will replace the plastic driveline and suspension parts with metal.

Now I need to find a decent place to crawl here in KC.

Looks real good, I keep checking at my LHS and they are still saying the body is not available yet since it hasn't been released. I'll be mounting mine on the original Axial AX0 Scorpion, but with a tube buggy frame. Not sure how the 2 piece body will work with that, I might have to cut out the lower back wall and front wall of the bed to slip it over the tube buggy frame.

Thanks man. I ordered my MJ body straight from Pro Line. Showed up in a few days.

I used 4 fasteners to hold the body and bed together. Those two mounted alone felt pretty darn sturdy, so I don't think you will have anything to worry about. Sounds like you have a pretty slick machine, can't wait to see it!
