Yea could be my AX-4 grinds into reverse.

Can't do a clutchless shift either sure it pulls out of gear smooth but it won't go back in gear . . .

 

The funny part is when ya pop it out of gear clutchlessly and use the clutch for the next hear it grinds !

Now if ya clutch shift clutch shift like you "should" then all is well shifts smooth . . .

 

Apparently jeeps won't let ya be lazy

Oddly enough the tan one is my neighbor's from across the street. She parked it in front of my house one day while soil was delivered on her driveway so I pulled the white one in front and took a picture. It's an '89 4WD, LWB, 4.0L, column shift automatic. I've been trying to buy it from her for 8 years, one day it will be mine!
