Automan2164
Awhile ago, I noticed that the MJ that got me hooked was no longer trolling my mom's neighborhood, and stopped to ask about it. Guy always said he'd drive it into the ground. I figured he had. It was a '92 4.0L AW4 231 LWB with factory rollbar. :brows: Turns out he sold the truck, for $300! I asked about the current owner, and got his info. I tracked it down, and it was too far gone. Huge dents, rot, and general abuse. Build date in '91, so it wasn't even too rare. But, that longbed rollbar was just too tempting. I asked about it, he said make an offer. I made the mistake of starting high, $200. :shake: He said $250, or trade for a nice toolbox. After trading some parts to JeepcoMJ, I had myself a diamond plate toolbox prime for tradin'. 8) Drilled out all the bolts, popped the heads, and came home with it today. At home, nestled in the half MT LWB. I didn't even attempt to try for the frame tie-ins because Wade(89Eliminator) already stumbled upon some for me over on JeepForum, and picked them up for me. :D Sure feels good to be sitting on a part of the truck that started it all for me, and have a very rare option for one of the LWB's. sinkrun
A long bed with what I believe is factory roll bar and brush guard just showed up near me at a small car lot. Bodys rough but if those rolls bars are that hard to find I need to call and see how much he wants for it. Nice Find
Wildman
Yea.......nice find........I know there hard to find for the LWB  Now......if the price went up another $50, it would cover what I paid for the whole '87 LWB MJ I bought that just so happen to have the roll bar with it.........and the OEM sun-roof :brows:

88SporTruck
A friend of mine has a Nissan pickup with a factory Comanche rollbar bolted to the bed. (not bolted to the frame) He told me when he sells the truck He will sell me the rollbar dirt cheap. I don't know if it came from a LWB or SWB as he pulled it off an old rotting comanche found in someones backyard.( truck is already gone :( to the scrapyard no less to be crushed) so I have no way of finding out what it came off of. Is there a difference in rollbars between long and short bed?
dfreeman616
yes because the wheel wells are located further back on the long beds so the rear mounts are different.
