With an X-pipe, I think itd sound awesome, without a crossover youll lose some of the exhaust scavenging, so Id recomend one anyway

our trucks need an X pipe for backpressure, otherwise you might get different levels on either side, which would make it run funky.

Not backpressure, exhaust scavenging.. This affects all vehicles, it is commonly believed that backpressure halps exhaust scavenging, and its true, to an extent, but thats what gives the power gains

I'm thinking on eliminating the collector on my Clifford 2.5 header when I redo the exhaust. Only problem... two Converters and two mufflers. And, where do I put the OS? Now I have one converter and a dual outlet Flowmaster.
