I was hopoing to get the windshield installed at home but to cold now for that ill have to get it towed over there .........

and the rear drive shaft will be done next week

shorten and balanced

the test drive should be in 2 weeks

A lot of glass companies will come to your house; do you not have that option?

they do but I need to heat the garage ...........its like -20 Celsius here right now

finaly getting time and money to do this .......

I need to shorten my D-shaft

from this:

lwb,_2.8,____ax5-ax4,______np207,____d35= 54.75"

to:

lwb,_4.0,____ax15-ba10/5,__np231,___d35= 50"

and I have a 4.5" lift

from what I read, it should be an inch longer then the 50" indicated above

so shorten to 51"

right???

the answer to that is 50.25''

had it done this monday

fitted perfectly on

now time to change the oil in the diff and the t-case

putting winter tires on

adjusting the track bar

and that damn windshield

and it will be about time for a road test

hopefully the weather will be allowing me to work on the truck nutkick.gif hopefully above the 0°C

with the temperature giving me a hand right now.............. :huh???:

finaly above the 0°C

I was able to work on the truck without to much break to warm me up

got to open the diff (well the front one) to check the gears and change the oil

the gears look great no metal shrapnel in the oil

the oil was bad but changing it anyway

so I hope the rear diff will be as good as the front one

when and got my starter tested today and its burned

so Ill probably buy a set of brush on ebay and rebuild it unless its seaze

then itll be going to the JY and get me an other one

I don't wanna go that option right now there's like 3 feet of snow there :fs2:

so that's it for now and until the weekend

I'm building my budy's bassement this week (money for parts) and 2 hockey game on the schedule

so I won't have much time to work on the truck

have a good week

before you buy your kit know that youll have to change other parts to

track bar

brake lines

bump stops

and that's only a few

the next step after the install will be to check for proper gearing to run 33''

look for ''diff gears'' in the search option

youll gets lots of info on the site

I think the ''new to me'' starter isn't good after all

I just tested it with an old battery an the selenoid engage but it won't spin

so Ill be on the hunt for a new starter :fs1:

lmao, i read it wrong,

thought starter was going and it didnt turn over.

good luck

well I tried something today regarding my starter

I tried instaling a wire between the casing and the selenoid to the ground terminal of the selenoid

what happen?? as soon as I put the battery back on the starter cranks

so that's not the ground I'm looking for

Ill try something else later on
