wannabeMJ
thanks all i got 3 set of rims with it including the one on the truck there is a bit of rust on it but this is all fun and games with a project like that I would like to know your input on what I wanna do with it ill do the usual with grand cherokee coils SUA in the back and swap the 2,8L for a 4L (HO probably) or is there a better swap to do except the 4,3L ( cause I can't find any around here ) :wall: my bigest question is more as any one of you shorten the bed and frame on a long box to shorten the wheel base :help: oh yeah MORE PICS COMMING lollllll
JeepcoMJ
shortening the wheelbase is very difficult compared to shortening the bed. you can cut around a foot out of the back of the bed, though. a 4.0 swap requires a new hood, new front crossmember, new header/radiator supports, and maybe a little bit of massaging on the firewall. a 4.3 is just a GHEY option. to each his own, but if you're going to put a 90 degree block in it, you may as well put a 350 in it since the mounts are all the same anyways. -600JeepMJ
you can also put in a 3.4L out of a camero. like I did in my 86 XJ. the 3.4L is externaly the same as 2.8L except for the fly wheel and fuel pump. http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Pro ... ect_XJ.htm :typing: http://jeep.off-road.com/jeep/article/a ... ?id=277008

wannabeMJ
well here is what I found after taking the whole interieur out its not nearly as bad as I tought aldo I was expecting some rust (there is no such a thing as a rust free jeep lolllllllllll) :wall: after working on trucks from quebec I was amaze to find how easy it is to work on a truck from alberta where they don't use salt on the roads so not everything is stuck in the rust that is the driver side flooring woth some holes on the flooring and I know that ill have tu cut a lot more to install the new sheet metal the second one is the passenger side witch is not as bad and I hope that after a good cleaning won't have to be replace I laso have a couple questions for you guys I bought an engine cleaner (degreaser) but it says on it to NOT put it on paint or I might damage it so WHAT DO YOU GUYS USE ON THE ENGINE BAY to take the dirt and grease out ??? second question what should I buy for flooring ?? premade flooring sheet or make my own??
