1990 Pioneer 4x4 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Are they the exact same (length…) except for the missing perch mounths? I suspect it would be easier to find one for a XJ and add mounts.
Geonovast Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Identical except for perch location and MJ ones do not have the shock mounts. It may be easier.. it may not. I've never seen numbers, but I suspect that MJs actually got more 44s than the XJ.
ejndssn Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 not to :hijack: i have an xj d44 and would like to know where the spring perch goes so that i could have them replace i intend to go with a SUA vice SOA so if any one would have the spec's it would be greatly appreciated
cracker Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I've never seen numbers, but I suspect that MJs actually got more 44s than the XJ. In SoCal we have found may more XJ 44s than MJ 44 in the yards.

I've never seen anyone post that data. Most people pull the original axle, set it up next to the XJ D44, and just make everything the same.
Pete M Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 some day I really should add in that info. :( I believe it's 42" center to center for an MJ.
