Comanche fuel tanks swap

I was wondering if a 23 gallon fuel tank from a truck with a long bed would fit in a truck with a Short bed

i don't believe the bigger tank will fit, maybe if mounts differently? :dunno:

It'll require some customization for sure, but I don't remember if anyone actually measured to see if the bigger tank would hit the axle.

I don't think there's any way you could shoehorn the big tank into a shortbed.

The lwb (23 gallon) tank will not fit on a swb MJ. It will hit the axle.

 

Plus, just for adding an additional 5 gallons of storage, it's just not worth all the work.

 

And, your sending unit will not read correct, there is the long arm for the swb (18 gal tank) and the short arm for the lwb (23 gal tank).

 

Lose that link you posted, there prices are way out of line :eek:

 

Both Rockauto and Raybuck have much better prices on New gas tanks.
