  1. it has been a while since I have done much on my MJ but I got to work on it this week end. I am repalcing the door hinges that are very worn with some I took off of a newer XJ I got one of the hinges done and 3 more to go. i used a ratchet strap to hole the door up in place
  2. I go to the one in Clayton NC call LKQ on HWY 70
  3. I want the ABS to work because it has it. I can't stand to have disconected non working features. Also since this is a DD and not going to be Wheeled It needs to have good road manners and the ABS is nice to have since we get alot of Black Ice and slippery frosen stuf here. I suppose. ABS has done nothing but screw me over...I don't like having it, but then again, I prefer full function rear brakes, too (no proportioning). I used to think that way also.

  6. Well it has been a while since I was able to work on this, but now I have the time. My goal is to have it drving by Jan 1st (2011?) I wanted a rear axle that was a bit Stonger than the D35. Since I was going to have redo Spring mounts anyways I might as well upgrade th axle. Spent yesterday at the Pick & Pull Wrecking yard and Brought home a nice 98 Ford 8.8 with disc brake and 3.55 gears and ABS for ~$100. they had a 50% off sale :jump: I will need to work out some sort of conversion Circuit to get the correct number of pulses from the ABS sensor on the axle to the ABS on the jeep. My camera is Broken I hope to get it fixed and I will post some pics.
  7. ABS= Dana 35 I just picked up a 98 XJ sport 4x4 with a D35 and no ABS
  8. I am puting a XJ rear d35 in my MJ Project. and of course the XJ is spring over and th MJ is Spring under. so I was looking at a easy way if it would fit. It is really no big deal to weld new spring perches on. I just did not want to if I did not have to, and of course I am sitting here at work and I can't go measure it. So I posted here :)
  9. I have a question are the MJ leaf the same lenth as the XJ leafs. I was thinking about if I could just bolt a XJ rear axles and spring into a MJ
  10. Yeah well the ABS light was on when I drove it into Shop last night so we will see how that goes.
  11. yes it has ABS I wish it had the 8.25 but to have a MJ with ABS will be nice for a DD
  12. It is a 84 with factory power windows and locks 350 SBC TBI 4sp AUTO 4.56 gears detroit rear and power lock front 35" tires 4 inch Skyjacker Soft ride lift

  14. Well I went and pick up my Parts Jeep that will supply me most of the parts I need to build my MJ. The Cherokee is a 98 limited with leather and power driver seat, Cruise, ABS NP242 2wd,4wd-h, 4wd Full time and 4lo. It has a HP D30 in the front and a D35 in the rear. the prevouse owner had all of the maintenence done at the dealer and with 140k on it the engine look and runs like a 50k motor . So I got a few thing to finish on some other projects and then I am going to get working on it again Pictures. GAve the J10 a work out Image Not Found
  15. I got the Front Sheet metal off as well as the doors and bed. I have to clean up some Surface rust on the frame and then paint it
