aemsee
Anyone have a unit that they use in their home? I want to get one for my wife as a gift, but she will use it way more at home than in her GC since she only has a 3 block drive to work :D . Give me ideas guys! Thanks. aemsee
Not talking about the service itself. I have sirius in all the company vehicles. Just looking for info about what to get to be able to use the receiver in the house as well as in the Jeep.
lostissues
all you should need it a home receiver kit, most of the units should come with the car kit. the home receiver comes with a dock, ac adapter, home antenna (that I'm pretty sure needs to see a southern exposure) and a cable to provide L and R audio. other then that you can also look into boom boxes if that is something you would like. also XM and Sirius are one in the same now I'm pretty sure. Darren
ive heared good things about both xm and sirrus :dunno: Well, they are the same company now. Tell her to listen to Bubba the love sponge. They make units you can put in your car, take it out and put in your home. Just make sure you get both docking stations.
Rockyrider367
I love mine i couldnt go without it now. I know with mine and my dads we can take the actual like deck peice that controls everything and move it from the unit in my truck and bring it inside to a boom box. My dad actauly has mounting kits in 3 of his trucks ( 2 work trucks and his DD) and he just moves the radio peice backand forth between what hes driving and the boom box he has in the garage. its a great investment! maddzz1
I have the sirius replay model. I like it cause it has 30 favorites you can set. When a band comes on that you like just hit the memo button, then it asks you if you want to store the band or just the song. Then anytime that band or song comes on any station it alerts you. It also comes with the docking station for the house.
Randy in Maine
I have 2 of them, one that goes in the house (and also mounts in the Westy when we go on trips) and one that just stays in the Jeep. In the house I have a roof antenna, in the cars it is just that "hocky puck" type of thing. About $15 a month for the two of them (I think). Dave Stark
:hijack: Why not internet radio? I use Pandora exclusively & love it. There are some DVR's that can get it & a lot of smart phones do too. Plus, it is $36 for a years' subscription, if you manage to go past the first 40 free hours / month... :typing:
