As with anything else, that depends on if it's a manual or automatic, which motor is in front of it, and any other pertinent options that could help determine what trans it has. Pete M Posted December 3, 2009 Share Posted December 3, 2009 I'd much prefer the NP-231 that comes in a Jeep to the 205. That thing weighs infinite pounds and has a crappy low range ratio. Mate it to the manual trans of that era and you'll be doubling that infinity. I had the pair that came out of my 78 Bronco and there's no freaking way I was going to even try to support that kind of weight in my truck. :ack: It sounds good on paper, but sucks in real life.
