Pete M
Where would I find an identifying mark that tells me the year? I've found lots of marks here and there.

Pete M
On the cover eh? I'll have to go clean that off some more. This is the axle going into my 90. I bought it a while ago and don't remember which year it was. Might be handy when buying parts. :D
Cooter
The cover will only say when the cover was made. Pretty sure there should be a B.O.M. on it, but I have never checked.
Pete M
So I found this on the web and I have this on my axle tube: 610758-2 and 7 22 7 80 and it's very poorly stamped too. FWIW the cover has a date in '95. Oh, and I noticed my U-joints aren't the same brand. :hmm: Which I guess is fine, seeing as I have to replace the one side anyway. Hot Rod Jeep
If it has the original gears it'll be stamped into the ring gear. I've noticed my Dana 44's are that way. 8)
jeepthing07
I have instaled gears/lockers bearings in D30's and 35's the D35 dident change much at all. The later ABS carriers 93-94 and newer had bigger bores that the axleshaft spider gears set in but thats about it. besides the C-clip non C-clip axles. The D30 carriers are the same from low and high pinion besides the gear ratio splits on both 30 &

I think this is also available through Dana's web site :hateputers:
