SchneiderFishing Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Hello, I have a 1990 Comanche 4.0 4x4 long bed and was hoping to find some folks out there with a similar year, engine, trans to swap information and maybe pictures with. Kind of like having two in the drive way. One to work on and one to look at and compare. rschneider@mac.com Southern California
Darren Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Let me get this straight, you want someone with the exact same MJ as yours to drive to your house and park in your driveway so you can look it while you work on your Jeep? C'mon kid, just get the Chilton or Haynes manual at the parts store. You can also post up questions in the tech forum and we'd be glad to help you. Pictures are always helpful.
Pete M Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 It's like having 2. :D I don't think he's asking someone to make a road trip.
Pete M Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Robert, all longbed MJs look the same, all 87-90 4.0 engine bays look the same, and all the stock 4wd MJs look the same. skim through the projects forum and I'm sure you'll find a whole bunch that you can steal ideas from
whowey Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 There are a couple of guys from NAXJA that are in your area. I don't know if they are on here. If you really need some local help, you might want to head over there and check out the So Cal chapter.

Don't forget that the C101 connector on the firewall disappeared mid-1989. And the 87s didn't have a ballast resistor. Nonetheless, there are certainly a LOT of photos already posted of most parts of various MJs.
Pete M Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 yeah yeah, I know. :D I was just throwing out some generalities. Just wanted him to know that he doesn't need an exact match to compare most features.
SchneiderFishing Posted November 19, 2009 Author Posted November 19, 2009 So Pete, When you driving over. LOL
