anyone recommend a good partridge gun ??

hey guys I'm lookin to buy myself a new partridge gun sometime in the next year or so and i'm wonderin' what you guys recommend and what ya use , also what brand and stuff i should buy?

how are you hunting? 12 gauge and a .22 are for different techniques.

i hunted partridge with a semi auto 22 for 2 years then switched to a break action 12 gauge

Never really got the hunting bird thing or hunting anything so I recommend this

 

 

Probably a hell of a lot more fun to shoot and when you got bored of hunting, you could lay waste to some old cans or something.

Grew up hunting partridge in VT useing a Savage side-by-side .410 double, full choke & modified on the other. Doesn't tear up the bird too bad and if you can't nail it w. two shots you don't deserve it. :cheers:

Get a 20 and get a 12. That way, you can use both for partridge if you like (pay attention to shot size), and the 12 will be suitable for geese and ducks too.

 

You are going to hunt more than partridge, right? I assume there's just a little bit of wetlands near the Bay of Fundy, right? :D

yea we got a few wetlands around here and I'm huntin now with a baykil single shot 12 i normally use #8 shot but i havnt seen a darn partridge yet this season so i don't know how its gonna work
