Rear suspension of the GMC C6500 at work doesn't have shackles. One end of the spring is bolted, other end of the spring has no eye. It rests in a bracket and is allowed to slide in said bracket to allow for suspension flex.

Maybe they decided a shackle would not be strong enough for the load capacity of the truck? GVWR is 25,600 pounds...

i might just try that some day but anyway i found my shackles and ill fix my dumb@$$ when i start takin the other truck apart ..... i hate being stupid ... :dunce:
