RE 6500

Recommended Posts

I'm running the RE6500 kit but still on 30s. Holding off till funds are avail for larger tires.

Anyway, I think my lift measured 11" between the top of tire and bottom fende. I still have stock front/rear bumpers, no winch, no camper or add'l weight on the MJ.

Before the lfit, it measured 4" between top of the tire and fender w/same 30s tires before the lift.

Yeah, to answer your question - it's about extra 7" after the lift. Let me double check tomorrow when there's more light!

I picked 180 lb coils over the 150s for my 88. I haven't noticed it being overly stiff in any way, but I guess it can be hard to tell with that dang Ford suspension. Plus heaven only knows how much lift I got or how much sag has happened. I never really took any measurements. I do have a pretty heavy bumper though...

No problems with compression here. My fenders hated me until I got the bumpstops extended. They still hate me, just not as much. :D
