Bounty Hunter Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 oh yeah and i got about 20 mpg with 31s and 307s Is that with the speedo corrected for the oversize tires?
pingpong Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 31's and 307 equal about 8 miles off at 55mph. Ask me how I know, and I can tell you how an improper equipment ticket is more then a speeding ticket ;)
DansGreyMj Posted August 19, 2006 Author Posted August 19, 2006 trust me guy i know what i got there were three other cars with me and one of which was a brand new f350 fresh off the lotand if that was off than i don't know what could be correct and i clocked my self on the signs that liste the mileage to the next city and it was right on, and if heard from someone running 32s and 307s with simmilar mileage
87manche Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 when I took my junk to attica in feb I got about that same mileage with 3.07's and 31's. Now that I'm at 3.73s it actually got better. I'm pulling down about 24 highway now. I did 700 Miles to NC on two tanks, with two ford 8.8's in the rear, a bunch of my brothers tools and all out camping gear for a week. probably about 5-600 lbs of junk in the back, doing 75 up and down the mountains in WV.

(but atl area traffic is rediculous soo)
87manche Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 long live the renix man. You can tune and tune and tune. i think I've finally reached the pinnacle of gas mileage. I keep trying to break 25, but I just don't think it's gonna happen. I should mention that I'm more than happy to "lead the parade" on the highway. 53 mph is where I get the best gas mileage, 5 miles over thatand I lose 2 MPG, so ya'll can kiss my bumper, I do 53 :)
Cabz Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 As far as mileage goes , I have 31's 3.55 gears and a dead accurate speedo and I get 23.5 Hwy and not near that in the city ( maybe betwee 16 and 18 depending on A/C and skinny pedal :D )

4play Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Oizarod, in Atlanta traffic, wouldn't it be more practical to figure how many hours you can sit in a traffic jam on a tank of gas? ;) :teehee:
