AX15 shifter Knob thread?

Anyone know if the threads on the shifter knob on the AX15 are standard or metric?

Funny, I was able to thread a standard nut onto it....

 

Who knows though. Some may be metric, some standard. Gotta love Jeep.

:hijack: Not to hijack this thread but... has anyone noticed the gearshift knobs on these things suck? They strip after a very short time and then they are loose forever.

Yep.

 

The knob for a TJ or a '99/2000 XJ is a direct replacement, and doesn't fall apart in use.
