WahooSteeler Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Carparts is a big seller on ebay and has Rough Country adjustable trackbars for $87 delivered. This seems like a pretty good deal. Any thoughts out there? :dunno:
HOrnbrod Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Don't know anything about the Rough Country adjustable track bar, but yeah Wahoo, I'd say that's a good price. Maybe others who have experience w. this product will chime in.
BLHTAZ Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 It's definitely a good price, but like CW, I have no idea of the reputation or quality of the bar.
mjeff87 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 single or double shear? If single, does it come with a frame mount or do you use the stock one? Also, is the TRE replaceable? I run RC shocks in the front, and Jason is really good to deal with, but I wouldn't cheap out on critical suspension parts. Heck, you can buy a stock TB for a bit less than that.... Jeff
troy6187 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I'm currently running this tb. The tre is replacable with a stock jeep tre. I have not had any issues with it and ive been using it for two years now.
JeepcoMJ Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 it's a single shear with a TRE end. the TRE is what is adjustable, and it is also replaceable. mounts to factory. it's not a bad track bar, and if it ever fails RC will replace it no questions asked.
Motion Offroad Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 RC trackbar requires at least 4" of lift. Based on your sig I don't think your that high (correct me if I'm wrong). If your not than the RC bar will not work.

Motion Offroad Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 The description on it says 0-3", I'm about 2.5" right now, plan to be 3.5" soon. If it's part number 7571 that info is incorrect.

FitchVA Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 if you read below the pictures where it says application list, it states it's for 4 - 6.5" of lift on xj's.

HOrnbrod Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Rough Country says on their web site: • Part #: 7571 [XJ / 4"]. Why don't you just call them to be sure mate? I don't think you have enough lift to use it. http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xtras_trac-bar.html

MO sells these and says this is the correct part# for 0-3". Good advice though Hornbrod, I'll call RC before I click the "buy" button.
HOrnbrod Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Yeah, I checked out a lot of the adjustable TB's before I purchased to get the front axle back on center, including the MO offerings (thanks Alex). I liked the TeraFlex because it didn't require a disconnect to adjust, its real beefy, and it'll handle more lift if I ever go there. Let us know what you find out from Rough Country Wahoo.

somnus Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I am using this track bar on my wifes 2000 xj with rc 3" lift. It works fine, but i did have to shorten the bar by about 3/16 of an in. I just cut it off with a hack saw and filed it smooth. I had to replace the tre after aprox 20,000 mile, but other than that I have had no problems
