Found these under my truck

Hmm. Those are very clean. Have you done any brake work recently? I am not sure about the spring, as it is not the right size for any brake springs, but the cable piece "could" be, except for the plastic piece on the end. Do know "where" under the MJ that they fell from? Have you hauled anything for someone recently?

I did just have the shop put on a new Parking brake fromt the cab back. I realy only drive my MJ to once and a while. I was thinking Parking brake since it was the last thing the shop did.

There are springs that hang from your frame above the rear axle and holds up the emergency brake lines, make sure there is one on each the left and the right. If so then I'd second Jeepco about it being from your seat, in which case I think you have bigger issues if you are dropping stuff from inside the cab. heh

The cable I have no clue on sorry.

the spring is to hold the parking brake cable up, and the cable goes inside the brake drum....the round part slips over the top anchor pin and the cable routes around the back face of the rear shoe, thru a metal guide, and attaches to the end of the self-adjuster lever along with the lower brake spring.

I've got a good pic somewhere of the whole assembly, let me see if I can dig it up so you can see what I'm talking about.

this will give you an idea of where that cable lives…..see it coming off the top center anchor pin and wrapping around the guide on the back shoe in this pic:

I don’t have a pic of how it attaches to the adjuster lever, but you can get an idea from this…..to get it all hooked back up it helps if you pull the lower spring off the lever and attach the cable to it (the lever) first, then try to stretch the spring back to the lever:
