Pete M
hey pete. is that truck bedlined over the whole thing? Yes and no. It's technically not a "bedliner" material. It's called Zolatone. This is the writeup on what I did: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10585
holeski
was going to put a hood scoop on the MJ to help with the cooling. I had the opening facing forward on the XJ. I am wondering which way the opening should face to be most useful? The WRX had it facing forward, but I have also seen then facing the windshield. If the opening faces the windshield it should let hot air escape at slow speeds, but push air in off the windshield at higher speeds. I think. So the question is does anybody know for sure and which way do you think looks the best?
Pete M
Fumes actually come out of my little hoodscoop on the freeway (and the oilly smell comes into the cab :ack: ). But mine isn't a full-on scoop, as the front is fully open and the back is partially open, so it's possible the venturi effect is in, uh, effect. I need a small scoop for the passenger side of my hood because one of my turbos is about 1.75" outside the sheet metal, but I need somthing narrow enuff not to overlap the groove in the center of the factory hood. holeski
About 1.5-2" tall at its highest point. This was off a ford mustang, I found it when I was living in Seattle and had it on my XJ. It wasn't functional when I got it, but I made it work for real, just go to the junk yard and look around. I can't do that here in Alaska nothing worth a crap in the junk yards here. CWLONGSHOT
All I have done with mine is to add some spacers & longer bolts to the upper hinge bolts. BUT for some time I have been really liking the LUND dual scoops. http://www.lundinternational.com/lund_i ... truck.aspx CW
