I know this is asking a lot, since I've been gone for so long, but thanks to laziness and sheer lack of time, can anyone get me step by step directions on the correct procedure for changing my calipers. pads, and rotors. I let my Alldata subscription run out. It's been so long since I've touched the Comanche, I think I might have forgotten how to take the wheels off :rotfl2: Seriously though, any special advice would be highly appreciated. Glad to have you back, I thought you were gone for good! Both my Craftsman sets came with a 7mm. Not all caliper bolts are those though... I've got regular 12mm hex heads on one side on my 88ish D30. Its easier then you think.. Things to have on hand are; A big C-clamp Zip ties or wire High Temp Brake grease Take the clamp and press the calipers open. Remove the 7mm slide pins zip tie or wire the calipers up, so that don't hang by the hose. remove funky anti-rattle clips pop old pads out, grease the slide pins and slide pin boots pop new pads in then reverse the above. Welcome back Chico-san. :D Heard you're a Japanese non-speaker now, si? Anyhow, don't forget the grease - I'd never used the nasty stuff before. Been battling a squealing brake issue and JT advised the grease on the slide pins and I also greased (lightly) all metallic contact between the caliper and caliper bracket, including the back of the pads.
