1990 Pioneer 4x4 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 I have a ’90 4.0 MJ and can’t find a header to fit… What is everyone using? :???:
mvusse Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 I'm using the stock exhaust manifold. Why do you want a header? On a Renix 4.0 it won't really have much of an effect other than increasing the engine bay temperature.

Certainly would be a HP gain not to mention louder. Stock exhaust manifolds are known for failure in these engines. Never heard about one increasing engine bay temps, where did ya get that info?

I agree, any engine can benefit from better breathing. I'm running a Borla s/s header.
dakineJ Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 I'm running a Borla s/s header. On an 88 Renix? Part # please.
mfpdm Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 This might help. If I had the cash to play with right now, I'd probably own this. http://norfolk.craigslist.org/pts/1065518449.html EDIT: Never mind on this. It's for a wrangler with the 4.2. I should go to bed.
mfpdm Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 OK, I'll try again. http://www.autocarparts.com/part/1206/49/ I'm sure there are others that sell them.
dakineJ Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Nice , I like the one million mile warranty, and the pic of the V-6 header:) .
