i have a 92 comanche 6cyl automatic need a transfer case what cherokee years will interchange mine is a 231 , 242 i heard are better

I think up til 90 will have the same spline count but i am not positive. Someone will LMK if i am wrong

no, you want a 1991 or later. You should have a 23 spline tcase, while the older ones from the renix era are 21 spline. So any newer t-case from a jeep cherokee will work.

A 242 allows for all-wheel drive on dry pavement without the threat of destruction. If you live where it rains or snows a lot, then the 242 will suit you well. :thumbsup:

The 242 is a full transfer case. It offers 2WD-Hi; 4WD-Hi (Part-Time); 4WD-Hi (Full-Time); Neutral; and 4WD-Lo (Part-Time).
