today while riding home i noticed an old jeep it turned out to be an fc150 the guy wants 1800 or will trade for a snow plow the thing is in great shape no rust and runs fine my question is if this is a good deal

I think the FCs are awesome. If it's really got no rust and runs good I'd say it's hard to lose, but I don't know the true values. There are some nice FC sites you can look at.

 

You can always ebay it if you wind up not liking it.

I jus want to give you some point of reference of what a jeep price is in my country, Argentina. I really feel " litle bit envious" hen you chat or discuss about prices. I would like to pay what you pay for jeeps in general

 

I paid 6000 U$S for myMJ 1988. An XJ 98 or 99 costs 15000 U$S.

 

I have to pay 600 U$S for an AX5 and tcase Np 231 , all together, in a yankyard,

If it makes you feel any better, $600 isn't all that unheard of for an AX-5 and 231. Sure there are cheaper ones here, but not all of them are cheap.

FC's are really rare (read hard to find parts for), which means there won't be much aftermarket for them. Are they cool hell yeah
