SuperWade2 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I bought one of Fiatslug87's Underhood Retractable Lights... A Couple ?'s... did all years MJ's have the power wire for these lights? If Yes, any ideas where mine might be? In digging around, I can't seem to find a matching plug anywhere in my engine compartment, but I did find this more roundish type connector that wasn't connected to anything... Any ideas what it might be for? Wade
SuperWade2 Posted November 22, 2008 Author Posted November 22, 2008 I found the retractable light plug, but still unsure what this other one is... Wade
Drahcir495 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 oops beat me to it. I have that plug, but is connected to something else? It has a matching end that goes into the wiring harness - towards the battery.

Yah, I found another one fairly close to the battery thats connected (didn't trace the wires) This one is back towards the back of the block on th left side...
Akula69 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I wondered the same thing SWII, I found the same plug when I was locating my underhood light plug, and still cannot figure out what it's for.
HOrnbrod Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 On my 91 HO that's the IOD (Ignition Off-Draw) connector. It connected, and loops back into the main engine harness.

jeepdoggydogB Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Well I have three of those Jeep (Ford) retractible lights and none of the connectors is the same as my old underhood lamp connector on my 1991.
