Final results for the city WET/DRY referendum: WET by 334 votes. No details on when and how yet, but it happened at last. At least something good came out of this election. image_209027.gif

Now all the stores, restaurants etc, etc... have to spend the money on getting licensed to sell it :brows:

That's right, but they'll do it. :D Soon Mama can buy my beer at Walmart when she goes on her grocery runs. Haven't been able to do that since we were overseas and she'd stop off at the Class 6. Good stuff......... :cheers:

I have a friend who has a liquor/beer store over in the next town where I usually get mine. He lives in Arab. He's voted for years to keep Arab dry; over 50% of his sales are from Arab citizens. He's not a happy camper today, and I feel sorry for him. :(

He and his family have a lot of commercial real estate in town, and I'm sure he'll be one the first in line to get his liquor license. I can't wait for the local Saturday rag to see the doom and gloom editorials from the old Southern Baptists. But they'll still keep on sneakin' out of town to buy their booze because no one recognizes them. :cheers:

ha! you win!

 

our county isn't dry but the cities are mostly, got a good ride to buy liquor but beer and wine can be had at kroger/wal-mart wherever you please

Yeah, most of the big chroming shops are in Cali - go figure! There are none around here. Some of these wheel specialists do an exchange on OEM wheels; you send in a set, and they send back a reconditioned chrome set, not necessarily your wheels.
